Have you done anything with your suspension? I’ve been thinking of doing some auto-x with the Crown Vic, but my stock suspension would bust if I did that, hahaha.

That car got FE5 front sway bar from a Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, rear from a Cadillac STS, heavy duty rear shocks, and 245-wide wheels and low profile tires with decently sticky rubber.

I autocross my stock-suspension P71 and it’s a blast (and not at all competitive). Get a decent alignment and prepare to ruin some tires!

Such body roll!

This shot pre-sway bars?

Oh yeah. Mechanically the car was bone stock at this point.

P71? You’re already ahead of me, lol. I’ve got a ‘97 LX with what I’m pretty sure are all the original suspension components. I’ve got more body roll than the Pillsbury Dough Boy. If I try to run auto x on those, I’m afraid they will literally bust.

I doubt it would break but that’s your call!
A P71 front bar and a P74 (HPP) rear bar should quiet out that body roll; that and some fresh shocks and it’ll feel like a whole other (much more stable) car.
